  1. Use clients that have been with you for a while. Nothing screams dependability like having clients that have been with you for a long time. If they have stayed with you, more than likely they are happy with the work that you do and these are exactly the type of people that you want to interview for a testimonial video. Sometimes they can sell your product better than you can because they have been using it for a long time.

  2. Don’t use a script. The goal of testimonial videos is to build trust and if it feels scripted or disingenuous, people aren’t going to buy it.

  3. Ask the interviewee a lot of questions. If you ask a lot of questions, the odds are pretty good that you will uncover a plethora of reasons why the client has enjoyed working with your company.

  4. Have the interviewee talk about the problem that your product or service solved for them. More than likely, your other potential customers are having the same issues and if you are able to show them how you can solve their problem, you will probably end up getting a new customer.
